CT scan Isotropic helical CT of Temporal bone with MPR

Reformats (coronal, sagittal and true axial) can be done from one axial helical scan. Thus, the need for coronal imaging is obviated. The examination can be done faster and with less radiation.

More information is derived from MPRs made from helical axial scans collimated to 0.5 mm than from conventional 1 mm axial and coronal scans.*
